    RAKIT, een IQ-test die veel wordt gebruikt op Nederlandse basisscholen, onderschat de intelligentie van Turkse kinderen. Dat blijkt uit de studie ‘Educational Measurement: Issues and Practice’, dat is gedaan door Jelte M. Wicherts en Conor V. Dolan.

    Volgens de onderzoekers zijn kinderen van allochtone afkomst niet minder intelligent dan hun westerse leeftijdsgenootjes. Toch scoren allochtone kinderen lager, omdat ze niet bekend zijn met bepaalde woorden of namen die in de IQ-test gebruikt worden. De uitkomst van de RAKIT IQ-test bepaalt of kinderen worden geselecteerd voor speciaal onderwijs.

    Door de fout in de test zouden Turkse en Marokkaanse kinderen 7 IQ-punten lager scoren. Antilliaanse en Surinaamse kinderen scoren circa vijf punten lager.

    IQ Tests Say Internet Explorer Users Are Stupider Than Safari Users [Report]

Chrome, Firefox and Safari users had just a tiny bit higher than average IQ scores. And users of Camino, Opera and IE with Chrome Frame had exceptionally higher IQ levels.
